Germany
  • Geography: situated in and dominating Central Europe. In the North she borders Denmark, in the East Poland and Lithuania, in the South Czecho-Slovakia, Austria and Switzerland. Germany has common borders in the West with the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and France.
  • History: Germany lost the Great War and was disappointed with the terms in the Versailles Treaty. The country suffered 1.8 million casualties in that war. The fascist National-Socialist Party under the leadership of Adolf Hitler took control of the government and have recently started rearming Germany. The country has scored minor victories on the diplomatic battlefields of Western and Central Europe. Diplomacy is aimed at the revision of the Versailles Treaty.

  • Treaties: Non-agression pact with Poland, Anti-Comintern Pact with Japan and Italy.

  • Economy: large. Industry and mining concentrated in the West.
  • Demography: high birth rate. Population of about 70 million.
  • Morale: above average.
  • Armed forces: some 650,000 men, with reserves currently estimated at 1.5 million men. Quality of men and material is good thanks to new weaponry due to recent rearmament. Germany's peace time strength is 32 infantry, 4 motorized, 3 panzer, 3 mountain divisions. The Air force is said to be huge and of excellent quality. Small navy but Germany is building the latest type of battleships.
  • Status: Germany is one of the great powers.
