An empire is the generic term for the country you're playing. This could be an empire, such as the British Empire, with various types of provinces under its (your) control. An empire could also be a less complex country, such as Czechoslovakia. Provinces are carved out pieces of land that contain cities. They can help you setting up common taxes and recruitment levels, or other types of policies for different cities. These provinces contain cities: the points in which politics is both made and carried out. Cities are the building blocks of domestic poltics. Here all the action takes place. If you want detail, you need to look at your cities. VPG stands for Virtual Political Group. It's a more realistic term to call the various political parties and social-economic groups which try to influence your policies. |
